Job summary

Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School is seeking a Teaching & SENCO Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support to the SENCO and assist pupils with SEND across the curriculum.

You will deliver structured interventions, support pupil development, and work with the SENDCo, teaching staff and support colleagues to monitor progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEND is essential.
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient approach to pupils.
  • Good understanding of EHCPs and targeted interventions.
  • Effective communication and strong teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to inclusion and positive pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities

Teaching & SENCO Support Assistant

Required ASAP

(Bexley 06.1-4 £30,288 - £31,611 per annum pro rata)

(actual salary ££21,153 - ££22,077)

30 hours per week (term time only 38 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching & SENCO Support Assistant to provide day to day support to the SENCO and work with a range of pupils with specific additional educational needs across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured interventions and support programmes as outlined in the EHCP
  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with the SENDCo, class teacher, and wider support staff
  • Monitor and record progress against EHCP outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEND
  • Be patient, nurturing and resilient
  • Have a good understanding of EHCPs and targeted interventions
  • Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
  • Be committed to supporting inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils
