Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Epsom is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join the LAN provision of a mainstream secondary school. You will support students with ASD, SLCN and MLD, delivering 1:1 and small-group guidance within lessons and the LAN unit.

The role focuses on developing learning, communication, confidence and independence, building positive relationships, and collaborating with teachers and SEN staff to sustain a calm, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

  • Previous SEN experience essential.
  • Experience supporting students with ASD, SLCN or MLD desirable.
  • Patient, calm and compassionate approach.

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting students with additional needs? We are looking for dedicated TAs to join the schools Learning and Additional Needs (LAN) provision within a mainstream secondary school.

Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, SLCN and MLD.

Provide 1:1 and small-group support both within lessons and the LAN unit.

Help students develop their learning, communication, confidence and independence.

Build positive relationships with students and adapt your approach to their individual needs.

Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to provide consistent support.

Contribute to a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Support students across the curriculum and with targeted interventions where required.

What Were Looking For:
  • Previous SEN experience is essential.
  • Experience supporting students with ASD, SLCN or MLD is highly desirable.
  • A patient, calm and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Someone proactive, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
