Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hampton (TW14). The role focuses on ASD support, helping pupils with communication, sensory needs and engagement in learning.

The ideal candidate has experience with ASD, strong communication and teamwork, and a patient, empathetic approach. This full-time, term-time-only position offers 8:30am–4:00pm hours and a temp-to-perm progression.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school, care, residential, or community setting.

Teaching Assistant – Autism Support | Full-Time SEND Role

Axcis Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a passion for helping young people. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils with autism, supporting their communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and engagement in learning. This role would suit candidates from education, care, support work, psychology, youth work, or similar backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Support pupils with communication, interaction, and social development.
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation and managing sensory needs.
