Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment are recruiting for a specialist SEND school in Newton-Le-Willows to support pupils aged 5-16 with Autism and additional needs. This full-time role is based at a school in Fazakerley L9 and starts at the beginning of September 2026, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

You will work to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, assisting learning, communication, and social development in a structured and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or young people with autism and/or additional needs.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Understanding of autism, sensory needs, and communication differences.
  • Genuine passion for SEND education.

Responsibilities

Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Autism Specialist) Location: Fazakerley L9 Start Date: Start of September Contract: Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Axcis Education is recruiting for a specialist SEND school in Newton-Le-Willows that supports pupils aged 5-16 with Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive school from late June / July 2026, helping pupils develop communication, independence, social skills, and confidence in a structured and nurturing environment. With small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support and see the impact of your work every day.

The Role
