Job summary

Cranford CE Primary invites applications for a friendly Teaching Assistant to join our team alongside teachers to support learning and pastoral needs of primary children.

You will supervise and support pupils in the learning environment, assisting the teacher with pupil education and following the school’s Behaviour Policy to manage conduct safely and respectfully.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly.
  • Ability to keep all children safe, happy and able to learn.
  • Able to create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
  • Supports the teacher in pupil behaviour management in line with the Behaviour Policy.
  • Supports the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
  • Understands community, builds respectful relationships while maintaining confidentiality and following the Code of Conduct.
  • Prepared to undertake CPD including First Aid and safeguarding training.
  • Understands Child Protection and safeguarding responsibilities.

Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Contract Type: Fixed term until 31 July 2027. Pay Grade: Grade D3. Full Time Salary: £25,614. Actual Salary: £10,163.80. Hours: 17.50 hours over 5 mornings per week, 38 weeks per year. Starting: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, professional Teaching Assistant to work in a team with our teachers, who understands the learning and pastoral needs of primary children. The role would entail supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, whilst assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.
