Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a full-time Year 4 Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in the Longridge area (PR3), starting November 2026. This position offers Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm, at £14.25 per hour, with the potential to progress to a temporary-to-permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will have prior KS2 experience, a solid grasp of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, and the ability to support pupils academically and socially within a welcoming primary school environment.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and ability to support learning across English and Maths
• Positive, patient and proactive approach with good communication skills

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within Key Stage 2?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school near Longridge (PR3) for a full-time Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2026. This is a long-term position with the potential to progress into a temporary-to-permanent contract for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established Year 4 classroom, supporting pupils both academically and socially while helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role

• Full-time Teaching Assistant position within a Year 4 class
• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2 is essential
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Confident supporting learning across English, Maths and other curriculum subjects
• Positive, patient and proactive approach
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong behaviour management skills are desirable
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
