Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Kettering is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils from September 2026. You will work closely with teachers to help pupils engage with learning and reach their potential, in a supportive school environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and adaptable, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Prior school experience is desirable but not essential; full-time long-term role in the area.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEN or learning needs
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils with confidence, engagement and independence
• Encourage positive behaviour and follow school policies
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members
• Support pupils academically and pastorally when required
