Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Kettering seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils from September 2026. You will work with teachers to deliver engaging activities, monitor progress and help pupils reach their potential.

You will assist with 1:1 or small-group support, help manage behaviour, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment while helping pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEN or learning needs.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with confidence, engagement and independence.
• Encourage positive behaviour and follow school policies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff.
• Support pupils academically and pastorally as needed.
