TeacherActive is seeking Teaching Assistants to work across Chelmsford and surrounding areas. You will support teachers and pupils, helping create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment, delivering lessons, and assisting with individual and small group work.

A sports background is desirable; opportunities to assist in PE lessons and extracurricular activities exist. This role suits candidates passionate about education and helping young learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school or similar setting.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils.
• Assist students with additional learning needs (SEND).
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Help prepare learning materials and resources.
