Job summary

We are seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join E‑ACT Montpelier High School in Bristol. You will support students academically and personally, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential within an inclusive learning environment.

You will work closely with teachers, provide one-to-one and small group support, and contribute to intervention programmes while promoting wellbeing and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience with children and young people and supporting learning.
• Understanding of classroom support strategies and child development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons; help all students progress.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to build confidence and independence.
• Assist students with additional needs, including SEND, to access learning.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusive learning.
• Contribute to targeted intervention programmes and overcome learning barriers.
