E-ACT Montpelier High School in Bristol is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support students academically and personally, helping them grow confidence and resilience within an inclusive learning environment.

You'll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help learners with additional needs while upholding high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with children and young people and supporting their learning and development.
• A good understanding of effective classroom support strategies and child development.
• The ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons that enable all students to make strong progress.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students develop confidence, resilience, and independence in their learning.
• Assist students with additional needs, including SEND, to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement, helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to targeted intervention programmes and support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
