Job summary

Retford Oaks Academy invites applications for a Teaching Assistant. Working under staff guidance, you will implement planned activities for individuals or groups and help with resource preparation. The role focuses on helping pupils access holistic development inside and outside the classroom.

The post requires GCSE English and Maths at C or above, an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and experience with young people and SEND. Term-time hours apply with a 30-hour week.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C or above.
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent with knowledge of the curriculum.
• Experience with young people and with SEND/EDS needs.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance to implement agreed work programmes for individuals or groups.
• Assist teachers in planning, resource preparation and delivery to support holistic development.
• Support pupils access to learning and engage them in activities.
