Job summary

Retford Oaks Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion, and SENDCo. The role includes implementing work programmes for individuals and groups, both in and out of the classroom, to promote holistic development.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and recent experience with young people, including those with SEN/D.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent with knowledge of national curriculum.
• Recent experience working with young people.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEN/D.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering agreed work programmes for individuals and groups.
• Support planning cycle and resource preparation under guidance.
• Help ensure pupils access holistic development.
