Axcis Education in Liverpool is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5–16 with Autism at a specialist SEND school. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning.

The role offers a full-time, long-term placement with ongoing training and collaboration with teachers, therapists, and support staff to foster communication, independence, and positive behaviour in a structured environment.

  • Confidence building positive relationships with pupils.
  • Understanding of autism, sensory needs, and communication differences.

Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Autism Specialist)

Location: Fazakerley L9 Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Axcis Education is recruiting for a specialist SEND school in the L9 area that supports pupils aged 5–16 with Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive school from late June / July 2026, helping pupils develop communication, independence, social skills, and confidence in a structured and nurturing environment. With small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support and see the impact of your work every day.

The Role
