Being able to work independently and as part of a team is key, to be able to take direction from the teacher and implement planning accurately and effectively. Whilst you will be working on a 1:1 basis with the individual with the specific individual you will also rotate with the class team in working with other 1:1 children and small groups of children (2-3), this is purposely done by school as they appreciate it would be too tough for any one person to work solely with the specific 1:1. This Autism specific school is based within North Birmingham and whilst car parking is available, the school also has great public transport links. You will be working with the class teacher, following their planning and giving feedback on sessions.
