Job summary

Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEND 1:1) to support a student with special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies and promote the pupil's independence and participation.

This fixed-term position runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday (32.5 hours per week), starting ASAP. Prior SEND experience and a relevant qualification are preferred; you will join a supportive team

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in teaching, learning support, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the child.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the student with learning, daily routines, emotional regulation, and social interactions to foster their independence and social-emotional well-being.
  • Use structured interventions to enhance the child's learning and engagement in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lesson plans and resources to ensure the child can actively participate and make progress.
  • Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO to inform future planning and support.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a student with special educational needs. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies, foster the student's independence and social-emotional well-being, and ensure their active participation and progress in the classroom.

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Working Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday

Weekly Hours: 32.5

Salary: TA2

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
