Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA2) to support children with special educational needs. You will work with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor learning strategies, promote independence, and foster social-emotional well‑being in a rural setting.

The role involves supporting daily routines, differentiating activities, and monitoring progress to inform future planning. A relevant qualification and good communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in teaching, learning support, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the unique needs of the children.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies that cater to the children’s specific needs and abilities.
  • Support students with learning, daily routines, emotional regulation, and social interactions to foster their independence and social-emotional well-being.
  • Use structured interventions to enhance the children's learning and engagement in the classroom.

  • Monitor the children's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO to inform future planning and support.

Teaching Assistant (support SEND children) – TA2

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a range of students with special educational needs. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies, foster the students’ independence and social-emotional well-being, and ensure their active participation and progress in the classroom.

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Working Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday

Weekly Hours: 32.5

Salary: TA2

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
