We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA to join a passionate and highly skilled team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives on supporting young people to overcome challenges and achieve personal progress both educationally and holistically.
The Role:
Supporting students across Key Stages 1 and 2on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting learners with Autism/ASD, ADHD, MLD/SLD, sensory and communication needs, and physical or medical conditions
Providing practical and emotional support, promoting pupil well-being, and encouraging engagement in tailored learning activities
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children with complex SEND and/or physical disabilities
An understanding of or interest in sensory processing, augmentative communication, or medical support strategies
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Level 2 or 3 CACHE qualification (or equivalent)
Team-Teach or MAPA certification (desirable but not essential)
A calm, proactive and adaptable approach, with a strong sense of empathy and resilience
