Role: Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Location:Swindon
Start Date:Immediate Start
Salary: £89 £102 per day

This is an inspiring, inclusive school where creativity, emotional wellbeing, and life skills are at the heart of the curriculum. Staff work collaboratively to provide tailored support that helps every pupil reach their full potential both in and beyond the classroom.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and passionate team, and to work in a setting that truly puts the individual needs of its learners first.

The Role:
  • Supporting students across Key Stages 1 to 4, including those with a variety of SEND and SEMH needs

  • Assisting in life skills, sensory-based, and therapeutic learning activities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to promote personal development, engagement, and independence

  • Collaborating with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure a holistic approach to education and care

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting young people with complex SEND, including Autism, speech and language delays, and physical disabilities

  • A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach to challenges

  • An understanding of sensory processing, emotional regulation, or non-verbal communication techniques

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (or equivalent)

  • Team-Teach or de-escalation training (desirable but not essential)

  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive beyond the classroom
