Job summary

Staniland Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs alongside class teachers and the SENCO. You will help pupils access the curriculum, foster independence, and promote social and emotional wellbeing.

Key duties include supporting lessons, assisting individuals or small groups, preparing materials, and communicating with teachers, pupils, and parents.

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE, Grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEND and complex needs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide support for SEND pupils with complex needs. You will support them with accessing the curriculum, developing independence, and to thrive socially and emotionally.
