Job summary

TEAM Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND. The role involves implementing EHCP provisions and tailoring support to learning, emotion regulation, self-esteem, and inclusion.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to help the child overcome barriers and participate fully in school life. The position is temporary and depends on the child's attendance and any review of their SEND needs.

Qualifications

• Provides dedicated 1:1 support to a child with SEND.
• Implements provisions identified in the EHCP.
• Supports learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support to the child in class and during activities.
• Implement EHCP provisions and adapt learning materials.
• Foster a positive relationship to build independence and participation.
• Attend in-service training and collaborate with the SENDCO and class teacher.

Job description

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEND, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence. The role will involve implementing agreed provision identified within the child's EHCP and providing tailored support for their learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, social inclusion and wellbeing. A key part of the role will be building a positive and supportive relationship with the child, while encouraging them to develop increasing independence and participate fully in learning and wider school life. Appropriate in-service training and ongoing support will be provided to enable the successful candidate to understand and respond effectively to the child's individual needs.
