Job summary

All Faiths Children's Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support class teachers in teaching and welfare of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and improving independent working. The role involves observation, maintaining records, and preparing differentiated work under the teacher’s guidance.

There may be needs to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans and administer First Aid with appropriate training.

Qualifications

• Observation and monitoring of pupils' progress
• Maintaining accurate records of interventions and progress
• Prepare differentiated work and materials for pupils
• Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis if required

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to pupils under the direction of the Classroom Teacher
• Coach and support pupils' learning by supervising and assisting them in 1:1 sessions and small groups
• Help pupils engage across learning activities and interventions
• Work with staff to ensure pupils have access to resources they need to succeed
• Support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis
