Job summary

All Faiths Children’s Academy in Strood, England is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in teaching and welfare of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and independent learning.

The successful candidate will assist with observation and progress records, prepare differentiated work, and support pupils with special educational needs as required. DBS checks and safeguarding will apply.

Qualifications

• Assist classroom teacher with observation and progress recording.
• Prepare differentiated work and materials under guidance.
• Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis.
• May administer First Aid subject to appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to pupils under the direction of the Classroom Teacher
• Coach and support pupils' learning in 1:1 sessions and small groups
• Help pupils engage across learning activities and interventions
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure access to resources
• Support children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis
