A leading educational trust is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for SEN Support at Ardleigh Green Infant and Junior Schools. The role involves working closely with SEND students, requiring an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Primary Education and experience with children with ASD. Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 1/2 Spinal Point 3-5, £21,507 - £22,122 per annum. FTE £27,729 - £28,521 per annum (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Contract:Permanent

We are looking to appoint someone with the following skills:

  • Has an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Primary Education
  • Is an excellent team player
  • Has a calm, patient personality, who is highly organised and flexible
  • Someone who has the ability to engage and motivate pupils and can creatively differentiate learning for pupils with SENs where necessary
  • Someone who has previous experience of working with children with ASD and is familiar with the use of PECS and delivery of ‘Attention Autism’, ‘TACPAC’ and ‘Intensive Interaction’.
  • An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
  • Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently
