Job summary

Hays Education is recruiting for a specialist SEN school in Coventry, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs through classroom, 1:1 and small-group interventions.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm with a temporary to permanent contract, weekly pay, competitive rates and dedicated support from a specialist SEN recruitment consultant, providing a rewarding environment to make a difference every day.

Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support, 1:1 support and small-group intervention to help pupils achieve their academic, social and personal development goals.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Youth Worker, Residential Support Worker or anyone with experience supporting children with additional needs.

• Experience working with children or young people
• A passion for supporting pupils with SEN
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and positive attitude
• Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs is desirable
