Job summary

Vetro Recruitment in Wirral, Merseyside, UK is seeking a Teaching Assistant - Primary / SEN for a 12-week temporary placement with potential to go permanent. You will support and supervise activities, assist with literacy, prepare classrooms, and work with pupils individually or in small groups, including those with additional needs.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 months in schools, references for last two years, current DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one, and right to work in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months' experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or similar settings.
• References covering the last two years (no gaps).
• Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
• Assisting children with reading and literacy tasks
• Preparing classrooms for lessons and activities
• Working with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including children with additional needs
• Creating displays of children s work
• Supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour
• Helping children on school trips and during group activities
• Listening to children read, telling stories, and providing extra support as needed

Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in children s lives
(12 weeks of temporary work which can lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks).

The School is an independent 39-week specialist day provision for boys and girls, aged between 5 and 11, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

We also work with a range of other education settings across Wirral.
