Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Cheshire to support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs within a vibrant school environment. The role involves assisting teachers with planning and delivering tailored activities and providing one-to-one support across upper Key Stage 2 (Y5 & Y6).

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with experience working with children.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
• Mandatory Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of Read Write Inc. (RWI) would be beneficial but not essential, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs within classroom settings to promote engagement and learning.
• Assisting teachers with planning and delivering tailored activities to meet individual student needs.
• Providing one-to-one support to pupils across various year groups, particularly in upper Key Stage 2 (Y5 & Y6).
• Contributing to a safe, nurturing environment that encourages pupils’ social and emotional development.

Job Description:

This role involves supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs within a vibrant school environment, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all pupils.
