Job summary

Oasis Academy New Oak is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners with differentiated needs in a inclusive, structured environment. You will contribute to learning activities, support behaviour management, and help SEN students reach their full potential.

Ideal candidates will have Level 3 TA qualifications or equivalent and Maths/English GCSEs at A*-C (9-4), with experience in SEN settings.

Qualifications

• NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Maths and English GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4 or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a specialist setting, resource base, or SEN Provision.
• Passion and commitment for supporting learners with specific needs.
• An empathetic, patient and tolerant demeanour.
• Key organisation and communication skills.
• Experience with managing complex behaviours and helping SEN learners to achieve.

Oasis Academy New Oak currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Job overview

You'll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with differentiated needs, providing learning support with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing sometimes complex behaviours within a structured learning environment to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.

Requirements

NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.

Maths and English GCSE grade A* - C / 9-4 or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a specialist setting, resource base, or SEN Provision.

Term Time Only (including inset days).

39 Weeks per Year.
