Job summary

Compton and Up Marden CofE Primary School is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will work closely with pupils and staff to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

You will support teachers in delivering inclusive lessons, work with individuals or small groups, and help monitor pupil progress while contributing to a positive school culture. Previous experience with children and a calm, proactive approach are valued, as is a commitment to pupil

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • Understanding of, or interest in, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
