Job summary

Empowering Learning is working with primary schools in the Bolton area and seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant for a long‑term role.

The successful candidate will support pupils in class, with emphasis on SEN/SEMH needs, working closely with the class teacher to promote engagement and progress. Strong safeguarding ethos and DBS checks are required; registration interview will be arranged.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school classroom.
• Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable).
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.

I work with a wide range of primary schools across the Bolton area, and I'm currently looking to speak with an experienced Teaching Assistant for their next opportunity.

The school is looking for a TA with:

• Previous experience in a primary school classroom
• Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable)
• Experience supporting children with additional needs
• A positive, patient and flexible approach
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and children's welfareThe role:

• Supporting pupils in class, with a focus on those with SEN and/or SEMH needs
• Working closely with the class teacher to help children stay engaged and make progress
• Long-term, Monday to Friday, with school hours
