Job summary

Value Education LTD are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the Bolton area from September 2026.

You will assist with lesson preparation, run group activities, support pupils one-to-one, and help children with additional needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30, with daily pay between £93 and £110, and offers flexible placement options across KS1 and KS2.

Qualifications

  • Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and staff.
  • Able to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Experience working with additional needs in a school setting.

Responsibilities

Value Education are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in the Bolton area.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, supporting children with additional needs, and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.

Teaching Assistant Duties:
  • Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
  • Assist with group activities
  • Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Provide additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
  • Tailor lesson plans to individual needs
  • Work inside and outside the classroom
  • Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate
Requirements:
  • Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
  • Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
  • Experience working with additional needs in a school setting (or similar)
