Job summary

Woodlands Academy in Bristol (Stockwood) is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 1) for 26 hours per week, term time only. The role supports Nursery and KS1 students under guidance, with a Level 3 qualification required for EYFS ratios and ongoing professional development.

You will assist in delivering planned activities, adapting content to learners' needs, and working with a wide range of academy staff to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification for EYFS ratios.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent.
• First aid qualification to support student care.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
• Good planning and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to inclusion and diverse learners.
• Willing to undertake relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned learning activities and teaching programmes.
• Adjust activities according to children's responses as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a wide range of academy staff at all levels.
• Deliver excellent educational experiences and champion life chances.
