Job summary

Woodmancote School in Cheltenham seeks a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, supportive team. The role involves working 1:1 with children, initially in KS2, across the school. You should be resilient, well organized and empathetic, with a clear understanding of individual needs.

This is a permanent, term-time only position with 17.5 hours per week. The post is graded 5 (pts 11-14) with a pro-rata salary of £28,142–£29,540 per annum.

Qualifications

• Applications are open to Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants, or those who are highly experienced in supporting children with additional and complex needs in primary schools.
• The successful candidate will work 1:1 with children across the school, initially in KS2.
• You will need to be resilient, well organized and empathetic, with a clear understanding of the individual needs of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs across KS2.
• Support pupils across the school in KS2 and beyond as needed.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures to support pupil welfare.
