Empowering Learning in Merstham is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with diverse needs within a welcoming school environment. You will work under experienced staff to implement one-to-one and small group support, focusing on ASD, SLD, PMLD, and other SEN.

The role is long-term with an ASAP start, working 8:15–16:00, offering £95–£140 per day, plus free CPD and opportunities for growth within a forward-thinking school community.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Merstham, Surrey. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we're looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.
• A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
• A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
