Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs in a Leatherhead school. The role is long-term with an ASAP start and requires DBS if available; processing can be arranged.

You will join a friendly team committed to inclusion and providing the best opportunities for every child. Daily rate is 110 and training opportunities are provided in partnership with Empowering Learning.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Leatherhead. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we're looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.
• A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
• A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
