Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in Dorking (RH5) Surrey to join a friendly team. The role supports a pupil with complex needs, with DBS ideally in place, and starts ASAP in a long-term capacity.

The successful candidate will work within an inclusive setting, offering nurturing support to children and families while collaborating with staff to ensure the best opportunities for all learners.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and contribute to the school community.
• Willingness to commit to the life of the school and support pupils with SEN including ASD/SLD/PMLD.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Dorking, RH5 Surrey. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we're looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.
• A passionate, empathetic and patient nature with a nurturing and inclusive approach to children and their families.
• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
• A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
