Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in Crawley for a long-term role starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, be committed, enthusiastic and flexible, and ready to join a supportive team dedicated to inclusion and cultural diversity.

Role involves supporting children with complex needs, including ASD and SLD, and working within a school community that values opportunity and CPD.

Qualifications

• Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.

• The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children.
• The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD.

• Support SEND (Complex needs/ ASD) students in a school setting.
• Work as part of a team to deliver inclusive activities and support.
• Assist teachers with in-class support and behaviour management.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Crawley. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Ideally, we're looking for candidates with a valid DBS however, we can assist in processing one should you not have a certificate.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements

• Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
