Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Warwickshire. The role offers flexible full-time or part-time opportunities with a September start, within a large network of schools.

You will work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, support learners across EYFS to KS2, assist with phonics and numeracy, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment while maintaining safeguarding standards and strong

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above) or UK equivalent.
  • Experience supporting children in a mainstream primary setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • Commitment to children’s development and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs through differentiated activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and a respectful classroom environment.
  • Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons and activities where required.
  • Record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, organised learning space.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies.

At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school.

We are working closely with a large Trust of Mainstream Primary schools in the Warwickshire area, supporting them with recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting both teachers and pupils throughout the school day with learning and development. You'll work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support through differentiated lessons and activities for targeted support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful classroom environment.
  • Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons and other school activities where required.
  • Record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Follow all safeguarding and school policies.

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above), or equivalent relevant experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Previous experience supporting children within a mainstream primary education setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to supporting children's academic and personal development.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • The ability to commute reliably to schools across Warwickshire.
