Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Warwickshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners across EYFS to KS2 in mainstream primary schools. You will work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, encourage positive behaviour and help develop reading, writing and numeracy skills.

A Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) and strong communication are required; you should be reliable and prepared to travel across Warwickshire.

At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school.

We are working closely with a large Trust of Mainstream Primary schools in the Warwickshire area, supporting them with recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting both teachers and pupils throughout the school day with learning and development. You'll work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support through differentiated lessons and activities for targeted support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful classroom environment.
  • Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons and other school activities where required.
  • Record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Follow all safeguarding and school policies.

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above), or equivalent relevant experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Previous experience supporting children within a mainstream primary education setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
