Job summary

St Paulinus Catholic Primary School in North Yorkshire is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 for maternity cover up to one year. The role involves 31 hours 15 minutes per week, plus an additional 3 hours 20 minutes (Term Time Only).

It includes covering Breakfast and After School Club and supporting pupils’ learning with engaging, creative activities. The successful candidate will hold a full TA Level 3 qualification, have strong literacy and numeracy, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• Full and Relevant Level 3 qualification for TAs essential
• Very good numeracy/literacy skills essential
• Training in literacy or curriculum areas essential
• Experience working with children essential
• Understanding of child development and learning processes essential
• ICT awareness and ability to support learning essential

Responsibilities

• Cover Breakfast & After School Club as required
• Support pupils’ learning needs and adapt activities
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication
