Job summary

Mount Pleasant Primary School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on a maternity cover basis. The role is 27.5 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks), starting 01.01.2027. Shortlisting will occur by 6 November with interviews scheduled for 17 November.

• Supervise pupils for limited and specified periods, including break-times.
• To undertake lunchtime duties on a daily basis.
• A good understanding of safeguarding, equal opportunities, health and safety and SEN.
• A strong sense of fun, enthusiasm and a motivated, engaging team member.

Responsibilities

• Work in Year 4 and contribute to the full life of the school.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate activities in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Provide feedback to support pupil progress.
• Supervise pupils during lessons and breaks, including lunchtime duties.
