The Heights Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2 with safeguarding at the core of daily practice. The Heights Academy opened in September 2023 in a brand‑new build, and this opportunity is part of the next stage of growth and development.
From September, the school will open to pupils in Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 and will grow to accommodate 116 pupils. All pupils have an EHCP with a diagnosis of Autism.
NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience would be desirable.
In line with safeguarding commitments, applicants will need an enhanced DBS check, proof of right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from at least two recent employers, evidence of the required qualifications, and medical clearance.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
