Leverhulme Academy Trust's Rivington & Blackrod is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with Developmental Language Disorders in our Speech and Language resource provision. You will work under supervision to implement work programmes and liaise with teachers and therapists to support the children.
You will help develop positive behaviour and social skills, support families, and contribute to planning and preparing resources; experience with SEN is essential.
The school wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with special needs, including those with Educational Healthcare Plans and with their families and supporting agencies. The role focuses on helping to support learning and the development of positive behaviour and social skills for those student's diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorders. The successful applicant will work within the Speech and Language resource provision, liaising with teachers, parents and therapists to support the children. Salary: Grade E SCP11 SCP17 Actual salary £20,656 - £22,769 per annum Plus, SEN Allowance of £1,130 per annum 31.75 hours per week Term Time Plus 5 days Monday Friday, 8.30am 3.20pm 4 days a week and 8.30am 3.25pm 1 day a week, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day
