Academics is recruiting a Teaching and Learning Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across the South Staffs area. The role can be part-time or full-time, starting September 2026, with a daily rate of £93–£100 depending on experience. You will work directly with class teachers to enhance teaching and learning for children with diverse needs.
The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants and has experience with SEND. Paediatric First Aid is desirable.
Teaching and Learning Assistant - Part-Time/Full-Time - Start Date: September 2026
We are currently looking to recruit a highly experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant who plays a vital role in supporting both students and the school environment on a daily basis. This role is vital when supporting our partner schools and involves supporting a vast range of children with varying needs including working alongside children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP's). Candidates who have a background in supporting children with Speech and Language, ADHD, Autism and SEMH will be particularly suited to the role.
You will be working within a variety of friendly and welcoming school atmospheres where you will quickly become a valued member of the schools. You will be working directly alongside class teachers and as a Teaching and Learning Assistant you'll be encouraged to "follow your own lead" using your own initiative and skills to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all children.
Pay: £93 - £100 a day (dependent on experience) holiday pay is included in the day rate.
