Job summary

Leverhulme Academy Trust in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting a range of special educational needs. You will work directly with vulnerable students in the resource provision, under supervision of the SENDCO, planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups.

The role involves monitoring progress, recording outcomes and reporting on development, and may include supervising other TAs and contributing to training.

Job description

The School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with a range of special educational needs. Your main purpose is to work directly with a range of vulnerable students, including those at school support and/or have an Education Health Care Plan, within the resource provision; taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision (subject to the direction and supervision of the SENDCO). Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups/whole classes. Monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on student(s) achievement, progress and development. Management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants including appraisal and training.

Salary: Grade F SCP17 SCP23

Actual salary £26,534- £29,453

Plus SEN Allowance of £1,316

37 hours per week Term Time Plus 5 days
