Job summary

Leverhulme Academy Trust's Rivington & Blackrod is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with Developmental Language Disorders in our Speech and Language resource provision. You will work under supervision to implement work programmes and liaise with teachers and therapists to support the children.

You will help develop positive behaviour and social skills, support families, and contribute to planning and preparing resources; experience with SEN is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Developmental Language Disorders in a resource provision.
• Ability to plan and prepare resources with teaching staff.
• Support positive behaviour and social skills development for students.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with DLD students within the resource provision under supervision.
• Assist the teacher in planning, management and preparation of resources.
• Supervise the resource provision in the absence of lead staff.
• Liaise with parents, therapists and other professionals to support learners.
