Job summary

Bottisham Village College is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support Team. You will work with the SENCo Team and teaching staff to support students with SEND and those in the Reef provision, helping them access learning and develop independence.

The role includes delivering targeted interventions in literacy, metacognition, emotional resilience and communication skills, and supporting learners during lessons, form time, breaks and lunchtimes.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and also use initiative.
• Patience and a nurturing approach when supporting students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions (literacy, metacognition, resilience, communication).
• Support students during lessons, form time, breaks and lunchtimes.
• Assist students with SEND to access learning and develop independence.
