Job summary

Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College invites applications for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support (SEND) team. The role focuses on providing targeted SEN support within a secondary school setting and assisting teaching staff during lessons and outings.

The successful candidate will liaise with teachers and the SENDCo, delivering literacy and numeracy support, and helping students make progress in line with the national curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and/or young people with SEN.
• GCSE/Level 2 qualifications in Maths, English and Science.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with classroom teachers, SENDCo and use student information to provide appropriate support for teaching and learning.
• Implement literacy and numeracy support programmes for groups and individuals.
• Undertake small group/individual teaching for literacy, numeracy and science under guidance of Learning Support staff.
