Job summary

Firwood Special School in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work 35 hours per week, 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post is permanent, with pro-rata salary for term-time only, and requires a Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.

The successful candidate will support children with SEND, communicate effectively with adults and pupils, and collaborate with families and the school team to promote inclusion and positive learning.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) required.
• NQF Level 2 Numeracy, Literacy and ICT Skills required.
