Job summary

Haywood Village Academy in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support learning under the guidance of the class teacher. The role covers 30 hours per week during term time, delivering planned activities and targeted interventions to help students access the curriculum.

The successful candidate will monitor progress, report outcomes and work with parents and staff to promote academic and social development.

Qualifications

• Committed to high standards in a busy learning environment.

• Willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in ST&L or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and targeted interventions under the teacher's direction.
• Monitor, assess and report on student achievement and progress.
• Adapt approaches to meet individual student needs and ensure inclusive practice.
• Support learning across small groups and one-to-one sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers and external professionals for positive outcomes.
